This very fine Cup and Cover featuring a domed cover with writhen cast finial, the baluster shaped body with twin scroll handles and spiral moulded reeding, standing on similarly moulded foot engraved to the underside Victor Heoulton, the gift of his father 1836, crested. 37 cms high.

Farley (sometimes ‘Farleigh’) Castle nr Bath is now the head quarters of Bath Rugby Union Club; Farleigh House, was built using stone from the original medieval Farley Castle. The current main house was completed in around 1820 for John Houlton, a wealthy Trowbridge clothier.
