The stepped bases are decorated with linear bands and six raying shell motifs. The baluster shaped stems are also decorated with shells, flat fluting and reeding. Simon Jouet was of Huguenot descent and appears to have specialized in the production of candlesticks. He was apprentice to Thomas Folkingham
